About Kathy Foster & her art

A picture of Kathy FosterA new experimental process begins with each work, based on my visual perception of the subject. Life drawing is an important discipline, informing my painting process, though not often used in my painting.

I gained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 2004, and since then I have exhibited in various locations in the UK and Europe. Living in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, I also spend time in the Languedoc region in the south of France, which inspires much of my landscape-based work. The most recent landscapes were undertaken while providing the back-up for my husband Richard’s French cycling challenge, full details on the NEWS page. I work as an art tutor for DRUM in Watford, a centre for people with disabilities.
